Jr. Prel. Competition Dance Ages 9-12

Ages 9-12 Mondays 5:30-6:50 pm Studio A 2019 Civic Circle 1.5 hr class

**note this class does not begin until after Labor Day

Junior Preliminary / beginning 1st time competitors

Class curriculum: Ballet technique, progressions, turns, flexibility, stretch, strength and competition routines with proper execution.

This level is to introduce ages 9-12 to dance competition for the Spring Semester.

A Parents Forum will be announced before competition dates to answer questions and address activities during events.

Prerequisite: must have minimum of 3 yrs of previous dance experience in Ballet, Tap and Jazz or previous competition experience and students are required to maintain regular class participation.

Attire: leotard & pink tights (optional warm ups, skirts etc.) appropriate shoes for ballet or lyrical for competition. Water bottles only.
